Port Clinton High Orchestra gets ‘a little spooky’

Third grade student Evelyn Dunbar was chosen as a guest conductor the Port Clinton High School Orchestra during a special performance at Bataan Memorial Intermediate School.

The Port Clinton High School Orchestra visited Bataan Memorial Intermediate last Thursday, as Orchestra Director Adam Murray and his musicians, all dressed in costumes, performed a special preview of their Thursday, Oct 28 concert to be held at the Performing Arts Center.

Some lucky students sat with the orchestra and there was even a guest conductor selected from the audience. Murray and students demonstrated the various orchestra instruments to students. Port Clinton High School is the only school in Ottawa County to offer all three music programs: Band, Orchestra and Choir.

The Port Clinton High School Orchestra and Choir is performing Thursday, Oct. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. It will be a “spooky show,” with all performers and directors wearing Halloween costumes. Port Clinton High School is excited to welcome the community back to the Performing Arts Center for high school concerts and performances.
