Port Clinton High School hosts Spring Sports Awards Program

Port Clinton High School held recently held its annual Spring Sports Awards Program for athletes, parents and coaches at the PCHS Performing Arts Center. The program recognized athletes that earned All-SBC, All-District Honors and SBC All-Academic Awards. The 2019 Sandusky Bay Conference Champions Boys Tennis Team was recognized. Afterward the presentation in the Performing Arts Center, each team had individual breakout sessions or a separate program to present the following special awards.

Boys Track: Senior Award – Josiah Klein, Nick Perry; Captains Award – Michael Baxter, Avery Hines; Most Points – Avery Hines.

Girls Track: Senior Award – Bryanna Barr, Olivia McDougall, McKenzie Halsey, Tiffany Strobel, Alexis Yoh; Captain’s Award – Tiffany Strobel; Most Improved – Grace Heilmann; Captain Awards – Aliyah Phillabaum, Tiffany Strobel; Most Points – Rebekah Nehls.

Softball: Captain – Marisol Fick, Madyson Webb, Aubrey Wharton; Defensive Player of the Year – Sarah Kopp; Highest Batting Average – Abbi Foote; Coaches Award- Samantha Sneider.

Baseball: Golden Glove – Gabe Haghiri; Captain Award – Gabe Haghiri, Tyler Webb; The Stopper – Jose Rangel, Tyler Webb; Mr. Offense – Jaxon Martinez; Mr. Redskin – Gabe Haghiri.

Boys Tennis: Teammate of the Year – Max Brenner; Captain – Andrew Fillmore; MVP – Andrew Fillmore; Four year Letterman – Andrew Fillmore; Most Improved Player – Elliot Auxter; Coach’s Award – Connor Bechtel; Sportswoman of the Year – Claire Snyder.
