The heralded Touch of Class is Port Clinton High School’s top vocal ensemble, specializing in contemporary a cappella singing. The group will make a special appearance on the RiverFront Live! Stage in the Meals on Madison Area in downtown Port Clinton on Friday, Aug. 12 at 5 p.m.
The group is composed of students in all grades, with participation in sports, clubs, other musical ensembles, and drama productions in and out of school. Touch of Class competes annually in the International Competition of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) and has been a quarterfinalist for the past two seasons.
Outside of competition, Touch of Class regularly performs dozens of concerts throughout the community, giving the students ample performance experience before leaving high school. Today, Touch of Class alumni can be found performing and directing a cappella ensembles at various colleges throughout the country.
