PORT CLINTON — Port Clinton rallied to take a lead heading into the fourth quarter, but Lake won the final eight minutes and the game, 52-42. The Redskins led, 36-35, after three quarters, but the Flyers took over, outscoring Port Clinton, 17-6, in the fourth.
Lake’s Hayley St. John scored a game-high 25 points and Colette Askins scored 10.
Carli Laurel scored 13 points to lead the ‘Skins and Claudia Gillum chipped in with 11.
Port Clinton boys fall to Eastwood
Port Clinton had trouble scoring and put up just two points in the first quarter and 20 in the first three quarters in its 55-36 loss to Eastwood.
The Eagles trailed, 6-2, after the first quarter and 24-11 at halftime.
Jake Meyer finished with 19 points to lead all scorers and Christian
Peters chipped in with 10 points.
Adam Thorbahn and Cooper Stine finished with eight points apiece.
Willard 67, Port Clinton 35
Port Clinton was no match for Willard as the Redskins fell to the Crimson Flashes, 67-35.
Willard led 33-23 at halftime and blew the game open by outscoring Port Clinton, 21-3, in the third quarter to push the lead to 54-26.
Myles Pinkston led all scorers with 18 points and Cooper Parrott scored 17 points. Gavin Preston had a team-high eight points for the ‘Skins.
