The Port Clinton Redskins won their 2024 Sandusky Bay-Bay high school season opener at home as they defeated the Waite Indians by a score of 55-6 on Aug. 23. The Redskins were on the scoreboard early 7-0, then a fumble recovery return of 43 yards by Malakii Pinkelton resulted in a touchdown. The point after was good, and the Redskins were up 14-0.

The Waite Indians had a punt blocked, and, thanks to Steel Joseph who ran for 22 yards, the Redskins were on the board once again. Pinkelton scored on a 23-yard pass from Wyatt Yarbrough and a three-yard run. Yarbrough would add a 13-yard touchdown run as Port Clinton led 35-0 after the first quarter. Yarbrough threw a 10-yard pass to Brian Rohrer for a touchdown. At halftime, Port Clinton led 49-6. Rohrer scored on a 12-yard reception from Gavin Cornell.

The Port Clinton Redskins (1-0) will be on the road for their Friday, Aug. 30, non-conference game against the Rossford Bulldogs (1-0). Game time is at 7 p.m.
