Jose Romero and the Port Clinton Soccer Academy staff work with young soccer players. A second winter soccer academy session starts in February.
The Port Clinton Soccer Academy is designed to provide all children, no matter their level of experience, an opportunity to be coached in the techniques and philosophy of the Port Clinton Boys and Girls High School Soccer Teams. The coaches provide a fun and educational atmosphere that will develop individual talents in a modified training model for students in grades preschool through grade 6.
The popular Soccer Academy will begin its Winter Session II in February at the new Port Clinton Athletic Boosters Fieldhouse every Saturday morning starting Feb 12 and running through March 5. For specific times check the registration form at www.pccsd.net under the News.
Participants may wear molded cleats, artificial cleats or athletic shoes. Shin guards are required during game play. T-shirts will be provided. Cost for participation is $25, with checks made payable to Port Clinton Schools. Port Clinton High School Varsity Coach Paco Romero and his coaching staff, along with other volunteers, will be providing the instruction.
