The Port Clinton Redskin Soccer Academy is designed to provide all children, no matter their level of experience, an opportunity to be coached in the techniques and philosophy of the Port Clinton boys and girls high school soccer teams. The coaches will provide a fun and educational atmosphere that will develop individual talents in a modified training model for students in preschool through Grade 6.
The Soccer Academy will be held at Bataan Memorial Elementary on Aug. 30; Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28; and Oct. 5. Times of each session will be 8-9 a.m. for kids 6 to 9 years old; 9-10 a.m. for those 10 to 14 years old
Players will be placed on teams that will participate in modified Futsal Style Games. Teams will play in a round robin format. Players may be moved between games on game day. This provides the players with opportunities to build their skill sets and provides a better game experience for everyone.
Participants should wear flat athletic shoes and shin guards. Cost for participation is $25 for new soccer academy participants, $20 for past participants. Checks made payable to Port Clinton Schools. Registration will be accepted at the first session on August 30.
Port Clinton High School Varsity Coach Paco Romero and his coaching staff, along with guest coaches from the area, will be providing the instruction. Find complete details and registration form at www.pccsd.net.
