Port Clinton Soccer Academy starts in January

Assistant Coach Jose Romero and PCHS Soccer staff work with soccer players at last year’s PC Soccer Academy. An indoor winter soccer academy starts in January at the PC Athletic Boosters Fieldhouse.

The Port Clinton Soccer Academy is designed to provide all children, no matter their level of experience, an opportunity to be coached in the techniques and philosophy of the Port Clinton Boys and Girls High School Soccer Teams. The coaches will provide a fun and educational atmosphere that will develop individual talents in a modified training model for students in grades preschool – grade 6.

These sessions will focus on foot-skills and other individual and team skills. This popular Soccer Academy will be held at the new Port Clinton Athletic Boosters Fieldhouse every Saturday morning from Jan. 7 until Jan. 28. There will be two more sessions in February and March.

For specific times please see registration forms at www.pccsd.net under the News.

Participants may wear molded cleats, artificial cleats, or athletic shoes. Shin guards are required during game play. T-shirts will be provided. Cost for participation is $25, checks made payable to Port Clinton Schools. Please bring the registration form and payment to the first session. Port Clinton Varsity Coach Paco Romero and his coaching staff, along with other volunteers, will be providing the instruction.
