Port Clinton will put its trick or treating on hold for Saturday, Oct. 31 if Ottawa County is still at coronavirus Red Level 3 on the Ohio Department of Health map on Thursday, Oct. 29. The city will wait for the level to drop before reinstating the Saturday holiday.

“We’ll go week to week until it drops below Red Level 3,” said Mayor Mike Snider. “Should (Red Level 3) still be in effect on Thursday, Nov. 26, trick or treat activities in Port Clinton will officially be cancelled.”

The Village of Oak Harbor plans to go ahead with its downtown trick or treating on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and its neighborhood trick or treating from 6-7:30 p.m., said Mayor Quinton Babcock.

If there is an update before Saturday, it will be posted on the Village of Oak Harbor’s Facebook Page.
