DaNasia Jackson was among a group of Port Clinton High School students taking Mandarin Chinese classes that visited the University of Toledo Confucius Institute Spring Festival.

Port Clinton High School is proud to offer both Mandarin Chinese and Spanish as part of its World Language curriculum. Yiting Xia, who teaches Chinese at Port Clinton, organized a field trip for Chinese II and Chinese III students to the University of Toledo Confucius Institute for the Spring Festival in February. A Chinese New Year Celebration was also part of the festival for the Year of the Tiger. Students were immersed in Chinese culture by sampling food, playing games and participating in the numerous activities at the festival.
