Fireworks will be featured at Port Clinton’s Waterworks Park on the Fourth of July, a long-awaited Sunday extravaganza after the 2020 celebrations had been put on hold all around the area.
All of the area fireworks shows are ready to rock the skies, from Port Clinton to Cedar Point, Put-in-Bay, Lakeside Chautauqua and the early Saturday, July 3 show at dusk along the Portage River in downtown Oak Harbor.
This year’s Port Clinton Fireworks by Pyrotechnic on the Fourth of July is scheduled for 10 p.m., but the fun will start much earlier, and entertain residents and visitors all day.
The Star Spangled Squirt Gun Run/Walk 5K will be held by the Port Clinton Fire Fighters Association at 9 a.m. at the Jefferson Street Pavilion. Visit SquirtGunRun.com.
A Food Truck Feast is on at Trinity United Methodist Church from 3-7 p.m. at the corner of East Second and Adams streets, followed by the Voices of Freedom Concert there directed by D. Gregory Fox at 7 p.m.
Also in the Adams Park area from 3-7 p.m. will be Croghan Bank’s Classic Car Show.
The most unique entertainment will be the Incredible Rubber Duck Race held by United Way of Ottawa County at Derby Pond in Waterworks Park at 8 p.m. Port Clinton Firemen will keep the little yellow guys moving, and 2,000 raffle tickets will have the chance for prizes up to $500.

You won’t have a chance to get bored between the Rubber Duck Race and the fireworks show. A Family Dance Party from 8-10 p.m. will have people jumping at Waterworks Park. Featured will be DJ Von and the Port Clinton Lion’s Club Food Wagon.
