Port Clinton Yacht Club celebrates $1.4 million renovation

Jul 6, 2022 | Business | 0 comments

After nearly a year of construction work that included new electrical, a new roof, plus an upgraded exterior and interior design, the flag officers at the Port Clinton Yacht Club on the Portage River in downtown Port Clinton officially dedicated the “new” Port Clinton Yacht Club with the members last Saturday, June 25.

Commodore Andy Schlotterer, along with incoming 2022 Commodore Cory Stine, officially cut the ribbon while Rear Commodore Jim Recker (foreground) and Vice Commodore Todd Puckett held ends of the ribbon.

As part of the dedication ceremony, Port Clinton Yacht Club members Hal and Diane Hawk, part of the new ownership team at Ballreich Potato Chips in Tiffin, Ohio, held a raffle while the Yacht Club requested donations for an unnamed charity.

Following the event, Diane Hawk (left) and Commodore Cory Stine presented General Manager Babette (Babs) Klacik with a generous $1,000 donation to Bistro 163, Port Clinton’s famous “pay it forward” restaurant located in the Sutton Center. (Photos by Publisher John Schaffner)
