The Terra State Community College Board of Trustees announced that Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Nicholas H. Gerber of Port Clinton and Mircea Handru of Tiffin to serve on the board of trustees, and Timothy Myers of Fremont for another term.

“I am excited to join the team and serve Terra State and the local communities. Terra State is such an awesome resource to our community, and I look forward to sharing the message and helping expand the opportunities,” said Gerber, vice president of business development for The Ashley Group of Sandusky.

Handru is the executive director for the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties. Myers is general manager of Century Die Company in Fremont.

“I was very pleased on the appointment of Nick Gerber and Mircea Handru to the Board. I am confident that Nick and Mircea will be an asset to the board and the college,” said Chair Kay Reiter. “I am also glad that Tim Myers was reappointed to the Terra State Board of Trustees and am looking forward to continuing our work and guidance to improve the college.”

Terra State president Dr. Ronald Schumacher added, “The addition of Nick and Mircea and the reappointment of Tim Myers not only gives us a full board but also a very eclectic group of critical thinkers.”
