Port Clinton’s Tina Thompson honored with Flagship Crew Award

Port Clinton City Schools presented its Flagship Award to Tina Thompson by Michele Mueller, Vice President Board of Education; Beth Benko, President Board of Education; and Patrick Adkins, Superintendent of Schools.

The Flagship Award that is part of Port Clinton City School District’s recognition program to honor parents, community members, staff and students to help the district fulfill its motto of “Proudly Charting a Course for Success” was recently presented toTina Thompson.

Thompson has been faithful to her alma mater, Port Clinton High School, and Port Clinton City Schools throughout her entire career as the local owner of Coffee Express. She was praised for her willingness to assist or donate to school fundraisers, help cater staff events, and even deliver staff meals to school buildings.

Thopmpson is a committed member of the Port Clinton community and an everyday partner with the school district. Port Clinton City School District officials said the staff hopes Thompson enjoys all that retirement has to offer and expressed their gratitude for her dedication to the Port Clinton school community.
