Celebrate fall and give back to the community at this year’s Pumpkins in the Park on Sunday, Oct. 13, at Lakeview Park, located at 1100 E. Perry St. in Port Clinton, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This family-friendly event will not only offer a day of fun, but it will also raise funds for two important local causes: Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary and Champions for Children.

The event will feature a variety of exciting activities for all ages:

• Pumpkin Painting: With a suggested donation of $5.00, pick your pumpkin to take home or paint in the pavilion with a provided paint kit.
• Halloween “Egg” Hunt: Children 12 and under can pick up a treat bag and hunt for not so spooky treats at noon.
• 50/50 Raffle, Basket Raffle and a Grand Prize Raffle with prizes ranging from $300 to $650. Tickets for the Grand Prize Raffle are available at Port Clinton Candy Company and online at https://www.portclintoncandyco.com.
• Craft Vendors: Shop from a variety of local artisans.
• Live Entertainment: Local performer, Merv, will entertain with family-friendly music throughout the day.
• Food Vendors: A variety of food trucks will be available to satisfy the whole family; from hamburgers to seafood boils to pumpkin ice cream.

By attending Pumpkins in the Park, you’ll be supporting Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary, which provides a safe and healthy environment for elderly, ill, terminal animals; provides un-adoptable animals a forever home; and assists overpopulated animal shelters. The event also raises funds for Champions for Children, a program that provides children in the Port Clinton School District an innovative, supplemental educational program and afterschool learning environment.
