George Wilber Receives Continued Recognition for Service to Port Clinton

The Ottawa County Republican Central Committee took time out at its recent meeting in Oak Harbor to honor George C. Wilber for his 40 years (1980-2020) of dedicated service and leadership as Law Director of the City of Port Clinton. Committee member and past Mayor of Port Clinton, Debbie Hymore-Tester, praised him for his competence, sincerity, and always presenting a genuine commitment to the rule of law. While social distancing, George was presented with a large etched glass mug by the GOP committee. Wilber had also been honored with proclamations from U.S. Senator Rob Portman, President of the Ohio Senate, Senator Larry Obhof, Senator Theresa Gavarone of Ohio’s 2nd District, Representative Douglas J. Swearingen, Jr., of Ohio House District 89, and Port Clinton’s Mayor Michael Snider. (Photo by Kathy Jo Schweitzer)
