Port Clinton’s signature two-day music festival, the Rock the Light concerts in early September in Waterworks Park, will have to wait until 2021, said organizers and sponsors. The festival was stymied by a lack of touring bands and other logistics, a culprit of the COVID-19 pandemic causing a high degree of uncertainty for a large number of area events.
After consulting with partners at The Listening Room, Main Street Port Clinton and the City of Port Clinton, it was decided that in the best interest of the general public, festival volunteers, vendors and entertainment to cancel the two-day event.
Rock the Light is a major fundraiser for Main Street Port Clinton, a non-profit organization that works to revitalize, reinvent and utilize the historic Port Clinton downtown. It also promotes the community of Port Clinton to visitors, businesses and residents.
