The Oak Harbor boys varsity basketball team lost a close home Buckeye Northern Conference game against the Fostoria Redmen 68-64 on Saturday, Jan. 25. With this win, Fostoria improves to 8-8 overall and 5-4 in conference games. Scoring for Oak Harbor was Zach Hallett with 21 points. Oak Harbor is now 2-12 overall and 1-9 in the Northern Buckeye Conference.

On Tuesday, Jan. 28, the Oak Harbor Rockets boys varsity basketball team lost a home conference game to the Genoa Area Comets 69-40. The Comets were on a five-game winning streak coming onto this game. This was the sixth straight loss for Oak Harbor, making their overall record 2-13.

The Oak Harbor Rockets closed out the month of January with a conference road game victory against the Maumee Tigers on Friday, Jan. 31. The Rockets were victorious 49-32. The Rockets’ record is 3-13 overall and 2-10 in the Northern Buckeye Conference.

The Oak Harbor Rockets girls varsity basketball team remains in first place in the Northern Buckeye Conference with a record of 15-4 overall and 12-1 in conference games, and they are ranked 149 in Ohio. The Rockets lost a nonconference road game to the Margaretta Polar Bears 46-42 on Tuesday, Jan. 28. Margaretta is currently 15-4 overall and 8-0 in the Sandusky Bay-Bay Conference which has them in first place.

The Lady Rockets girls varsity basketball team won a nonconference home game against the Rossford Bulldogs 53-25 on Thursday, Jan. 30.
