Rockets crush it in 4th quarter, overwhelm Rossford, 55-34

The Oak Harbor Rockets scored 27 points in the 4th quarter to slam the door shut on the Rossford Bulldogs Friday night, 55-34.

The Rockets used a grinding running game to roll up and down the field against Rossford, with three players having big nights statistically on the ground. Jacqui Hayward led the way with 156 yards and 3 touchdowns on just nine carries. Hayden Buhrow rushed for another 86 yards and three touchdowns. Dalton Witter added 81 yards on 14 carries and a pair of scores.

The two teams combined for 40 points in the 4th quarter with Hayward coming up with two big scoring runs of 57 and 41 yards to clinch it for the Rockets.

Oak Harbor is 2-1 on the season and will welcome Toledo Woodward this coming Friday, Sept. 9.
