After being pre-empted and postponed by Covid-19, the Port Clinton Rotary Club with major support from Gideon Owen Wine Company will cut the pepperoni for the 11th annual Rotary Pizza Challenge on Monday, April 24 from 4-7 p.m. at Gideon Owen, said organizer Duane Waite.
Celebrity judges will again pick their favorite pies, and high school judges will determine who makes the best pepperoni pizza in town. Pizza lovers will take a bite or two to pick the people’s Choice. Tickets are $12, $6 for kids 12 and under. There is a cash bar.
Pizza vendors can still get in on the action and provide some pies, call Pizza Challenge Chairman Duane Waite at 419-797-9006 or via email at waite@thirdplanet.net. The pizza proceeds will fund scholarships for high schools student at Port Clinton and Danbury.
