The 3rd annual Incredible Rubber Duck Race on Derby Pond in Waterworks Park in Port Clinton on theFourth of July had hundreds of little yellow rubber duckies on the water for the United Way in Ottawa County’s big fundraiser for the year before the fireworks went off.
The little yellow duck (No. 1048) that crossed the finish line first won $1,000 for Diane Hawk. Miranda Orris had the second-place (No. 57) duck white Brednan Bauder was third with No. 573.
The funds collected from the sale of the ducks will be used to help support United Way in Ottawa County’s Community Partners: Lighthouse Sober Living, Champions for Children, Launchpad, Kindergarten Camp, Acorn Alley, CASA, Grand Love, TNT Mentoring, Ruthann’s House, Community Support Services and Ottawa County Senior Resources.
