Safe Harbor Sanctuary hosts ‘Fur Your Luv’ on July 26

The Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary (ISHAS) is conducting its 7th-annual summer fundraiser to help subsidize daily operating costs for the animals being cared for at the Sanctuary. “Fur Your Luv” will be Friday, July 26, 5-11:30 p.m. at Catawba Island Club, 4235 East Beach Rod., Port Clinton. This event will include dinner, raffles, silent auction and entertainment by Island Song & The Late Show.

ISHAS is an animal sanctuary mainly servicing the Erie/Ottawa community with outreach programs to Cleveland, Toledo and Columbus.

Its primary mission is to serve as an incredible refuge for special-needs, elderly, and abandoned animals. Since its establishment in 2011, many rescued animals have been placed.

All donations go directly toward expenses such as rescue, veterinary care, feeding, and sheltering the animals. ISHAS has started the ISHAS BUILDING A FUTURE FUND to look for a permanent building that will better meet the mission of providing medical, rehabilitation, training as well as promoting a Spay/Neuter Clinic for rescues and provide low-cost services to the community.
