One of the most awarded female vocalists in Christian music history, Sandi Patty returns to the Hoover Auditorium stage Friday, Aug. 2 at 8:15 p.m.

Patty was first introduced to the music scene with a performance of the “Star Spangled Banner” during the 1986 re-dedication of the Statue of Liberty in New York City.

With overnight success, Patty has become one of the world’s most well-known singers, simply known as “The Voice.” Throughout her three-decade career, she has released more than 30 albums, earning three Platinum records, five Gold records and more than 11 million units sold.

As one of the most highly acclaimed performers, she has won five Grammy Awards, four Billboard Music Awards and 40 Dove Awards, the most of any female artist.

Her most recent album, Everlasting, features acoustic versions of notable hymns and worship songs. She also released her first full symphonic pops album, Broadway Stories, under the conduction of Maestro Jack Everly.
