Santa to make a trio of Oak Harbor stops this year

Nov 11, 2020 | Entertainment | 0 comments

Santa Claus is coming to the Village of Oak Harbor, even though COVID-19 has cramped the style of the Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce’s large Olde Fashioned Christmas event held each year on the first Saturday in December.

Executive Director Valerie Winterfield reached out to the financial institutions to offer socially distanced visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Santa will arrive in Oak Harbor at 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, and will be escorted through the village by the Portage Fire District.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will offer social distance visiting from 5 -7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 at the Croghan Colonial Bank Drive Thru; 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec.11 at Commodore Perry Federal Credit Union Drive Thru; and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec.18 at Commodore Perry Federal Credit Union Drive Thru.

Children are encouraged to bring their letters for Santa, which will be answered by Santa and his elves. After sharing their letter and wish list for Christmas, Santa will send the children a special treat through the drive-thru tube.
