Santa’s on Zoom at Oak Harbor Library in December

The Oak Harbor Public Library, 147 W. Main St., Oak Harbor will feature “Zoom with Santa” on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 6 p.m., for a Christmas story, a snack and Zoom with Santa! Stop in with your child to write a letter to Santa. Zoom with Santa Letters must be received at the library no later than Saturday, Dec. 11 in order for your child to be able to talk to Santa.

  • Oak Harbor Public Library include:
  • Storytime for preschoolers every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
  • Holiday Open House: All are welcome to join us for a holiday open house on Wednesday, Dec. 15 from 5-6:30 p.m. Enjoy a quiet night with harp music performed by Kathy Alter, and some simple holiday refreshments.

Just for Adults:

  • Craft Monday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. Make your own holiday gift boxes, all supplies provided. Register or call 419-898-7001.
  • Watercolor on Wednesdays from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Bring your own supplies and join others who enjoy the art of watercolor.
  • Knitter’s Group on Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Bring your own supplies and see what others are making.

Book Clubs

  • “Coffee and a Book”, book club, meets on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. in the library meeting room. This month’s book is Skipping Christmas by John Grisham. A hilarious look at the chaos and frenzy that have become part of our holiday tradition.
  • The 4th Tuesday book club will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Library. Inheritance by Dani Shapiro a beautiful and heartbreaking narrative of paternity, genetics, and family.

Make sure to check out all free digital resources on the Oak Harbor Public Library website. Library hours are Monday – Thursday: 9:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m.– 1 p.m. The Oak Harbor Public Library will be closed on Dec. 24-25 for Christmas and on Dec. 31 for New Year’s Eve. The Local History & Museum Center is open on Thursday from 9:30 a.m.- 2 p.m.
