Shantha Weit wins Port Clinton Middle School Spelling Bee

The top spellers at Port Clinton Middle School participated in a spelling bee on Feb. 1. Students participating in the bee had the top scores in their Language Arts classrooms in grades six to eight. Spelling bee winners at Port Clinton Middle School were: first place – Shantha Weit; second place– Miles Taylor, and third place – Parker Howard.

Other top spellers participating in the Port Clinton Middle School Spelling Bee were Sophie Dingus, Lillian Jackson, Ari Mcdougall, Kenleigh Mazur, Emma Gordon, Maxon Fluckinger, Susannah Osborne, Logan Marvicsin, Donovan Herald, Nayellie Fritz, Isabella Hill, Alex DeFreitas, Aeryn Mackey, Makenzee Jadwisiak and Deziyah Underwood.

The top three spellers from the PCMS Bee will compete in The Blade Regional Championship Spelling Bee.
