Shirley Millinger, 86, of Port Clinton, passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, at Edgewood Manor Care Center, Port Clinton. She was born Dec. 22, 1934 in Port Clinton, the daughter of Bryan and Hassie (Tunnell) Colston. She married Douglas B. Millinger on Dec. 13, 1952 and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2008. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton. Shirley was a bus driver for Port Clinton City Schools and worked on the family farm. She was a poll worker for the Ottawa County Board of Elections for many years.
Surviving are her sons: Terry (Patti) Millinger of Decula, Ga., Douglas (Linda) Millinger of Port Clinton, Barry Millinger of Port Clinton; daughter: Cherrie (Tom) Stiefel of Randleman, N.C.; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson: Christopher Stiefel in 2016; brothers: Herm Colston, Bob Colston, Dean Colston, Cal Colston and sister: Irma Colston.
