‘Shoot Out,’ BBQ benefit for Chuck Dobrowolski on Oct. 5

A special “Shoot Out Benefit” will be held by friends and family to help Marblehead’s Chuck Dobrowolski and his family as he battles Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, a progressive nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.

The benefit will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, with a “Shoot Out” from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 343 Englebeck Rd., Marblehead, featuring a speed shooting competition with pistols and a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament. Entry is $60. Call Ken Bason (419-341-6362) to register.

There will also be a dinner from 4-10 p.m. at Carroll Township Hall, 11080 W. Toussaint E. Rd., Oak Harbor. Featured will be Jimmy G’s Barbecue, a reverse raffle, a corn hole tournament and DJ Brandon Edwards. Tickets are $25. Call Lenny Webb, 419-320-6724.
