Stop by at either of the two convenient Shores & Islands Ohio welcome centers, located at 770 SE Catawba Rd., Port Clinton or 125 E. Water St., Sandusky, and select from your choice of a 3-foot by 5-foot (as recently seen at many downtown Sandusky businesses during the IRONMAN 70.3 Ohio) or a yard-sized 12-inch by 18-inch Shores & Islands Ohio flag.

Once you’ve hung your flag, snap a photo of where you fly your flag, then share it on social media, tag @shoresandislands, and use #shoresandislandsohio and #lakeerielove.

Shores & Islands Ohio is also the new name of the destination marketing organization for Ottawa and Erie counties. The organization’s mission is to facilitate the destination’s economic vitality through collaborative promotion and the creation of memorable experiences that engage valuable consumers as a way to enhance the region’s quality of life.

Shores & Islands Ohio will enhance, inspire and facilitate the sustainable economic growth of the region by engaging residents and attracting visitors from around the world.

Celebrate with Shores & Islands Ohio at two upcoming events — the Music on Madison Stage in downtown Port Clinton the during Labor Day weekend and the Party at the Pier in Sandusky on Thursday, Aug. 25.

When you stop in to pick up your free flag, the Shores & Islands Ohio welcome centers also sell discounted tickets for ferries and other attractions. Be sure to pick up your Shore Savings Card, offering even more local discounts.
