SIMPLE GESTURES Program Organizer Kathy Jo Schweitzer dropped by The Salvation Army’s Port Clinton Unit to present Director Maureen Saponari, with nine boxes full of winter-wear for kids and adults of all ages. The total donation included 256 caps, scarves, gloves, socks, mittens, slippers, shawls, ear-warmers, infinity scarves and handmade knitted sets.

“The 2022 projects will begin the seventh year of our program, and I am so proud of each contributor, who clearly takes time to find special needs appropriate for each request,” said Schweitzer. “I have delivered 73 distributions totaling 20,619 items.”
