Grandmother Patti Bleile, right, recently accepted a large basket of kitchen supplies, donated by a SIMPLE GESTURES contributor and presented to her by program organizer, Kathy Jo Schweitzer, left, with the help of Roselyn Barnhill, of the GRANDlove program at the Ottawa County Advocacy Center.
Since its inception in 2015, the SIMPLE GESTURES program continues to give its contributors many different ways to easily share with others. One of those ways is to ask the program’s over 90 contributors to take stock of the useful and items in excellent condition found around their own homes, plus those of their relatives and friends.
These are the variety of things that have been living in everyone’s hidden boxes, drawers, closets and corners, and to decide if they are personally useful to people in need. SIMPLE GESTURES has partnered with many Ottawa County organizations and businesses and will continue to keep up with the mass variety of needs in the area.
The program offers different, simple ways for anyone, any age to participate. To learn more about SIMPLE GESTURES, text 419-341-1017 or email MSKJS10@gmail.com.
