SIMPLE GESTURES supports Women of Sober Living

Feb 28, 2019 | Around Ottawa County | 0 comments

“A New Year – A New You” was the idea for SIMPLE GESTURES recent

distribution to the new Lighthouse Sober Living House for Women in Port Clinton.

“As we did for the men’s house in 2015, support is necessary for the women as

well, and can simply be given in a variety of ways,” said SIMPLE GESTURES organizer

Kathy Jo Schweitzer. Contributors showed this by supplying a total of

over 1000 cosmetic, personal, snack, educational, and other unique

items. The gifts were placed in separate large containers for each of the seven women now

residing there, plus additional boxes of storage items, puzzles and

books.
