The SIMPLE GESTURES program allows for contributors to decide if they wish to participate, and if so, how many items will be purchased. However, organizer Kathy Jo Schweitzer was amazed to see the kindness shared for their last distribution of 2022.

“My living room became the baby section in a department store,” she said. “There were 450 adorable baby items (toys, blankets, sleepers, onesies, bath products, books, an entire layette) including 692 diapers, 920 baby wipes, all things for Mom and her new baby girl.

“The best part of our program is the happiness and thankfulness expressed by the receivers. That is what SIMPLE GESTURES is all about and it could not be accomplished without the wonderful people who graciously donate without question.”
