To the Editor:
The members of the Catawba Island Garden Club want to thank everyone who attended our recent Plant Sale and Raffle. The sale was extremely successful.
Proceeds from this sale and previous sales have allowed us to make contributions to Dr. John E. Braun Memorial Park, the Catawba Island Historical Society Union Chapel Museum, The Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge West Harbor Landing, The Port Clinton Light House and The Lake Erie Foundation. We have also purchased and installed eight all-weather benches on Catawba Island and in Port Clinton.
Donations were received from R Coffee Corner, 1812 Food and Spirits, Ala Carte Café, Barnes Nursery, Bassett’s Hardware, both Bregman Orchards locations, Cedar Point, Cheese Haven, Ciao Bella Restaurant, Dr. John E. Braun Memorial Park, Friendship Stores, Jolly Roger’s Seafood House, JT’s Catawba Café, K & K Home Furnishings, Miller Ferries to Put-In-Bay and Middle Bass Island, Mulberry Creek Herb Farm, Nagoya Japanese Steakhouse, The Orchard Restaurant and Bar, Schedel Arboretum and Gardens, That’s a Crock, TNT Horticultural Professionals LLC, Tom Kubit, Twin Oast, Unique and every member of the Garden Club.
