Sound Off – Ida Rupp Library book sales boost programs

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Executive Board of the Friends of the Ida Rupp Public Library, I want to thank the many volunteers who set up the recent Library Book Sale; worked the sale and cleaned up; the library staff for their endless patience; The Beacon for its coverage; Deputy Donald Kreager for his assistance; and Bassett’s Market for its donation of bags for the bag sale.

Hundreds of books were purchased, and many more were donated to various community agencies.

Proceeds from this sale allow the Friends of the Ida Rupp Library to offer activities such as the programs held on Madison Street this summer in the MOM Entertainment Stage area.

Thanks again to all.
President Terry Zeman, Friends of the Ida Rupp Public Library
