Letter to the Editor,
On Saturday, April 13, the Annual City of Port Clinton Easter Egg Hunt was held at Lakeview Park in Port Clinton. Under cool, sunny skies the Easter Bunny arrived by honking fire truck escort, escorted by Mayor Mike Snider. Beginning with the toddlers, hundreds of little ones raced across the egg-filled lawns to fill their baskets with as many of the colorful, candy-filled eggs as they could.
Over 6000 colorful, candy and prized-filled eggs awaited them! Many lucky ones found prizes and tickets in their eggs taking home gift certificates for local activities, free kids meals and treats, bags filled with fun toys, and Grand Baskets. Over 300 prizes in all! None of this would have been possible without the generosity of community-minded groups, business owners and individuals whose donations and help made the event such a success.
Thank you to The Beacon Newspaper and Port Clinton City Schools for their help in letting area families know about this wonderful community event!
