Port Clinton High School Volleyball is hosting a “Spike Out Cancer” event during the Fremont Ross match on Monday, Oct 10. Spike Out Cancer is the American Cancer Society’s partnership with youth volleyball teams across the country. The program engages student athletes, coaches and local communities in the fight against cancer.
As part of its fundraising efforts, Port Clinton Volleyball is selling T-shirts in support of the event. Anyone wearing the Spike Out Cancer event T-shirt will be allowed free entry into the matches on Oct. 10.
During the matches there will be other fundraising events taking place during the evening. There is also an online donation page http://main.acsevents.org/goto/portclintonvolleyball All proceeds from the Spike Out Cancer event will go directly to the lifesaving efforts of the American Cancer Society to fund research, provide free programs for people with cancer and their caregivers, advocate for better cancer screenings and treatment, and provide education and information for all those who seek it. If you would like to assist with the event or have any questions, contact Coach Kent Felbinger at firstname.lastname@example.org.
