St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marblehead reopens this week to parishioners and visitors with limited capacity and strict social distancing. The new directives will remain in effect until at least July 1, with Daily Mass on Monday through Friday at 10 a.m.

The church will be open for private prayer from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday through Friday. Blessed Sacrament will be offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from noon-4 pm. Confessions are available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:30-2 p.m., or by appointment.

Weekend Mass will begin on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

The following directives and guidelines from Gov. Mike DeWine’s office and the Diocese of Toledo will be followed. The faithful of the Diocese of Toledo continue to be dispensed from their Sunday obligation. The requirement to receive Holy Communion during the Easter Season has been extended to all year. The elderly, sick, and those with pre-existing conditions should refrain from coming to church.

The six feet social distancing will drastically reduce the number of people who can attend the weekend Masses. Other than family and household members who live together, worshippers should remain six feet apart. Ushers will direct you to open pews. Protective face masks are highly encouraged.

For more information, call the parish office at 419-798-4177.
