The St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church’s new cookbook, “All Things New,” has arrived.

According to Dawn Glovinsky Fahsholtz and Diane Glovinsky, project co-chairs and twin sisters, they decided to compile the All Things New cookbook because it had been several decades since the last three cookbooks were published.

“In this way, we could preserve these family gems and pass them down to future generations,” Dawn said.

The cookbook features 300 tried-and-true recipes from this ethnic community.

Father David Hannes, their cousin, explained that the title is a reflection of Scripture when Jesus said, “Behold, I make all things new” in Rev. 21:5. This special edition cookbook is a tribute to the St. Mary Ladies’ Aid Society and to all the women who continue to support this parish. Furthermore, Dawn and Diane’s mother was a longtime Ladies’ Aid Society member and consultant on the project.

Father Joseph Repko, pastor of St. Mary Marblehead, stated that the entire purchase price will benefit the church’s building fund for roof replacement.

The cost of the cookbook is $20 cash. The cookbooks will make wonderful gifts for family and friends. For questions, email glovinskydma@gmail.com.

“We thank our local communities for their overwhelming support of this church fundraiser,” Diane said.

St. Mary Marblehead is located at 505 E. Main St., adjacent to the historic Marblehead Lighthouse. Divine Liturgy is celebrated Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 10 a.m.
