The performers danced their hearts out on Saturday night in the Dancing with the Stars competition at Sunrise Park & Banquet Center in Millbury, Ohio, and the big winners were a delighted audience and the Ottawa County Family Advocacy Center.
Winners Stacey Johannsen of Lakeside and Beth Kreuscher of Madison Street Dance in Port Clinton were determined by donations, and raised $11,377 for the Ottawa County Family Advocacy Center.
Overall, said Executive Director Connie Cornett, the social agency raised $33,000 this year, a major goal to help it support its mission of managing programs such as CASA, TNT Mentoring, TICKET to Success, GRAND love and Summer Lunch.
“It was a wonderful, entertaining evening,” said Cornett. “We were thrilled with the performers, and with the funding for our many programs.”
The Judges Choice for the most entertaining duo among the many pro and amateur dancers were Courtney Hammer and Mike Rich of Ballroom Dance in Maumee, Ohio.
