Runners will take to the streets of Port Clinton on Saturday, May 14 for the annual Back the Blue 5K, a fun run and walk to support the Ottawa County FOPA Lodge #34 and its Scholarship Fund and Ottawa County Law Enforcement Memorial Fund.
Runners and walkers can sign up on Saturday morning at 7 a.m. at Adams Street Park, where both the run and walk will begin and end. The Back the Blue 5K will begin promptly at 8 a.m. Entry is $25. For information or details contact Roseann Hickman ay 419-308-4690.
T-shirts will be given to all pre-registered in the event, and while supplies last on race day. There will be refreshments following the events.
Awards will be given to overall male and female winners in the Back the Blue 5K; first-place male and female competitors in each age group, and the overall first place male and female in the Back the Blue 5K walk.
Age divisions for the Back the Blue 5K are: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and 70 and older.
