Teddy A. Kozlok, 74, of Port Clinton, passed away on Friday, June 16, at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. He was born on July 22, 1948, in Port Clinton, the son of the late Andrew and Margaret Irene (Truex) Kozlok.
Teddy was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1966. He attended Lorain City College prior to joining the U.S. Army in 1968. He was honorably discharged in 1971 after serving at Camp Caroll Depot in Korea and with USAHAC in Vietnam. He worked on Put-in-Bay and for Service Master and the Marblehead Quarry before going to work at the Port Clinton Post Office of the U.S.P.S. He worked there mostly as a Letter Carrier from 1974-2011.
He was a life member of the VFW Post 2480 and belonged to the American Legion Post 113 and BPOE Lodge 1718. He enjoyed Indians baseball, hunting, fishing, bowling, movies, historical reading, and working in the yard.
On September 28, 1973, he married Tanya Diane Eberly and she survives. He is also survived by a niece and nephew plus many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; and two sons, Jonathan Andrew and Scott William.
Per Teddy’s wishes, he will be cremated. A graveside service and interment will be held on Saturday, July 1, at 11 a.m. at Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township, with Pastor Rick Jensen officiating and where members of the American Legion Post 555 will conduct military honors.
