The deadline to submit applications for the Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Readiness Training (START) program is quickly approaching. Students in 10th through 12th grades have until April 28 to submit their applications to Terra State Community College.

START is a partnership between Terra State and Materion that allows students to get hands-on experience in the skilled trades, such as, HVAC-R, Electrical and Controls, Welding and Fabrication, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machining, Hyrdaulics, Machining, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Robotics. The program runs from June 1013.

The program is free, but space is limited. Interested students need to complete an online application at https://tinyurl.com/yxrenmqy by April 28.  Students must be able to commit to attending all four days from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m, in addition to an orientation prior to the first day.
