The favorable mid-December weather gave racing fans a chance to line the streets to see the Championship Parade which was by the the afternoon Holiday Open House held at the 100,000-square foot state of the art facility on Campbell Street. As the parade continued through West Strub Road, Columbus Avenue and West Perkins Avenue, Rhodes admitted that he got a little carried away doing burnouts and actually had his right rear tire going flat.
