Tin Goose Chapter 1247 of the Experimental Aircraft Association will be holding a Reverse Raffle fundraiser on Thursday, Sept. 14 at Gideon Owen Wine Company on the Catawba Peninsula. Tickets are $150 for a buffet dinner and a single entry in the reverse raffle drawing which has a grand prize of $5,000.
The event is the chapter’s signature fundraiser and all proceeds will be used to support their educational programs, the Ford Tri-Motor restoration project and the new Dottie Patrick Memorial Scholarship, which will give eligible local youth the opportunity to attend Junior Pilot Camp.
“Not only is the money supporting some good programs,” said chapter President Lisa Benjamin, “but with only 150 tickets being sold, attendees will have a good chance of going home with cash or prizes.”
In addition, there will be sideboards, 50/50’s, a Chinese auction and more games with over $,3000 in cash and prizes.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.TinGoose1247.org/raffle or by calling 41-366-0951. You must be 21 or older, but need not be present to win.
