The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council is inviting everyone to celebrate the art of transformation this summer.
“Toasting Transformation: An Online and Live Art Auction,” is a salute to The Arts Garage, or TAG, the former Port Clinton City maintenance space that is being transformed into a thriving space for the arts. The event will kick off online the week of Aug. 16, with an auction of art pieces, gift baskets, travel getaways and interactive classes and experiences. Guests are invited to a night of art, food, drink and fun at the live event at TAG from 6 to 9 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 21, that will wrap up the weeklong auction.
More than 70 local artists created and donated pieces that were sold in last year’s online-only event during the height of the coronavirus pandemic, helping the nonprofit organization raise funds to continue its mission to serve the Ottawa County community. This annual event is one of the largest fundraisers for the Arts Council.
With the return of live events, organizers of Transformation expect this year’s auction to be even bigger and better. So mark your calendars and look for ticket information and other exciting details soon!
The future TAG is located at 317 W. Perry St., Port Clinton.
