The Twin Oast Apricot Fest on Catawba Island will make its debut as the newest summer festival on Saturday, July 13 with an emphasis on beer, food and family fun, including a larger than life Kids Zone sponsored by Huntington. The Apricot Fest will be a 1-11 p.m. celebration, with the kid zone open from 1-5 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults and for the Kids Zone. Featured will be farm fresh apricots, Catawba-crafted beer, live music with Dave Pahanish and The Lovers, food trucks, a large Vendors Market and Apritrot 0.5K, a fun run, at 1 p.m. Twin Oast is at 3630 NE Catawba Rd.
The Huntington tent at Apricot Fest will be supporting Pelotonia, which funds live-saving cancer research. Pelotonia is a three-day experience that includes a weekend of cycling, entertainment and volunteerism.
