FREMONT – Sample craft beer from regional brewers, wine from a local winery and specialty cocktails while enjoying live music on Saturday, Aug. 27, during Craft Beers & Cocktails at Spiegel Grove.

The event is from 5 to 8 p.m. at Spiegel Grove, the wooded estate of President Rutherford and First Lady Lucy Hayes and grounds of the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums.

Participating breweries include Twin Oast of Catawba Island, Buffalo Rock Brewing Co. of Waterville, Earnest Brew Works of Toledo, Findlay Brewing Co. of Findlay, and Inside the Five Brewing Co. of Sylvania. The participating winery is Chateau Tebeau of Helena.

With an admission ticket, attendees will receive 10 sample tickets to redeem for beer or wine samples, as well as a flight of sample cocktails created by Hayes Presidential staff. Additional beer, wine and cocktail sample tickets will be available for purchase at the event.

Food truck Kitchen 212, which serves gourmet artisan sandwiches, will be on-site to sell dinner and snacks. Food truck fare is not included in the general admission ticket.

The band Toraigh will play Irish music on the Hayes Home Verandah. There will also be various raffles and a 50/50 raffle.

Seating is limited, so attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs and can spread out on the shady and expansive grounds. Attendees must be 21 years old or older and have valid ID.

Admission tickets purchased in advance of the event by 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, are $25 for Hayes Presidential members and $30 for non-members. Tickets are available online at rbhayes.org/events/2022/08/27/events/craft-beers-cocktails-at-spiegel-grove/. Members will need to log in to receive their discount.

Tickets purchased after 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, are $30 for members and $35 for non-members. A designated driver ticket that includes pop and water – but no alcohol – is $10.

Craft Beers & Cocktails at Spiegel Grove is sponsored by Wright Leather Works. Additional funding by Countryside Manor and Crown Matting Technologies. The Hayes Presidential Library & Museums is located at Spiegel Grove at the corner of Hayes and Buckland avenues.
