United Way in Ottawa County is hosting its annual “Great Grape Stomp” at Mon Ami Restaurant & Historic Winery in Port Clinton on Sunday, Sept. 29 from noon to 6 p.m. A dozen teams of “stompers” are expected to compete, said Director Stacy Maple of Un iced Way Ottawa County.
Teams can still enter the competition. The entry fee for a four-person team is $200. To register visit eventbrite.com. The event supports the United Way of Ottawa County’s ongoing health, education and financial stability work for residents in need.
Attendees can enjoy live music, a live and silent auction, interactive games with prizes and a Lucy and Desi look-alike contest. A variety of wines and snacks will also be available.
The teams of grape stompers will battle on Mon Ami’s outdoor stage. After each “stomping round,” teams will have their grape juice weighed by the ounce to determine which teams go forward.
