State Representative D.J. Swearingen is grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve the residents of Ottawa County. He defeated opponent Alicia Roshong in a landslide victory for the 89th District seat.

“I would like to thank everyone who voted for me in the 89th district. I am honored to serve this district, and I am humbled by the trust given to me by the people in this district,” Swearingen said. “I would like to thank and congratulate my opponent, Alicia Roshong, for running a spirited campaign. Our district is stronger when the voters have two capable candidates actively seeking this seat.”
Swearingen had a tremendous amount of support this election season.

“My family, my team and my friends worked hard to earn this victory. I want to thank them for their work,” he said. “I promise every constituent that I will return to Columbus and fight for the values of our district. It is now time to get back to work.”
